The church of St Bride was part of the diocese of Glasgow, which was based in Strathclyde and paid particular honours to saints from Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Although first recorded in 1116, nothing of the medieval chuch can now be seen and the present church was built in 1778. The Southern Upland Way passes by the church. |
